"Purple Haze" No Luck Charm & Bead (Kaotic Artworks Resin)

No Luck Charms were created to be a minimal carry and a backup to a backup, or a primary means in a given situation. The design of the Charm, though simple, enables the user to deploy it from a pocket in ANY orientation that it lay, and employ it over ANY finger. The rounded bottom coupled with the "hips" and finger insets, ensure a SOLID and comfortable grasp, while keeping the hand in an anatomically correct position...

  Normally, No Luck Charms are made of brass or various metals...however there is a time and place for everything, and metal doesn't exactly fit every situation, nor can it go everywhere. While much lighter than brass, resin still has an enormous amount of strength; I mean, I wouldn't go testing it out on a tree or the concrete driveway, but trust me...

 The Charm was made from a custom block of Kaotic Artworks resin. If you're not familiar with his work, Justin is one of the pioneers for what has become a popular offering among the resin artists. He has the ability to take a wide array of colors mix them, and then keep them completely visible and separated without mudding together. This particular No Luck Charm focuses on the color purple, one of the LOUDEST on the spectrum, and one that SCREAMS ROYALTY. The Charm has a beautiful mix of different shades of purple, from dark to light, vibrant to pastel... but along with that, you can see hints of gold metal flake, translucent cells, and areas where the colors almost appear to float... truth is, when you look at this piece, you'll find that there is something new to discover each and every time!

  This NLC was precision machined by the talented Sam of Black Cross Ltd. The Charm features an industry standard 1" diameter finger stall. Each edge has a generous "fillet" (contouring) to ensure a grasp free of hotspots. 

  As with any piece that I offer in resin, this has been hand sanded through a series of grits, all the way into the thousands. This process is extremely time consuming, but necessary to remove inclusions and grind lines. After the sanding process, the No Luck Charm was polished to a beautiful shine using a compound made specifically for resins and plastics.
