Memento Mori- Customized Brass Lighter (Armor Case)

Memento Mori... What's it mean to you? Telling someone "remember you will die" can have such a dark and unwelcoming connotation to it, but I guess that all depends on your outlook on life. The statement really should be one that arouses you to do the most that you can with the time that you have. Every single second of it...

  This is a solid brass Zippo Armor Case. Armor Cases are 1.5 times thicker than that of Zippo's standard offerings. Made by them in 2024, it came with a stonewashed finish initially. 

  This is the first time that I have every fully customized a lighter with a continuation of artwork on each side. The artwork on this piece has been heavily pieced together to communicate the message that I was going for, all while keeping a classy, distinguished look to it.

  On the front of the Zippo, you'll find an illustration of a skull atop books with a candle burning over it. For me, that alone has so much symbolization to it. The opposite side features similar artwork to the front, but with "Memento Mori" "Live every day like it's your last." The anterior border of the of the lighter (non-hinge) has "3Leaf Customs" in a SICK font. The hinge side has some hidden coolness to it... you'll find my "Crossed Fingers & Clover" artwork on it, with the background overlaid upon it, and just above the hinges is "Made in 2025", which is only visible if you're really looking at it! The top of the cap is engraved with "No Luck Needed".

  The entire Zippo was given a brushed finish with various grits, to really fine tune things and to soften up the engravings. After a special wash and a deep blackening, this piece was given another brushing to brighten only the highest of the areas, leaving the deeper areas dark! Odie's Oil was applied to help preserve the finish.
