This Bear Paw was handmade from. 1/2" thick solid brass. Hand drawn, cut, filed... this is what HANDMADE SHOULD BE!

The finger stalls were cut at an industry standard 1" diameter, and then hand filed to give the feel that I'm looking for when making a custom piece. The stalls are filed out to create an almost elliptical shape, and one that allows the fingers to rest as anatomically correct as possible. Each stall partition has been "gullied" or dipped so that the fist can take on its natural shape when grasped.

Each crown has been cut by hand using a round file. As with the finger stalls, you have a contouring from face to face.

The outer borders and walls have been rounded over by hand, removing any hotspots that one would normally encounter with products of this kind. When you hold the Bear Paw, you'll find that it seats itself within the palm, due to the tapering of the swell that descends from the stalls.

One face of the Paw features my special 3Leaf Customs branded Skull and "No Luck Needed", while the opposing side has my OG (original) logo and "Handmade". If you've been following for any amount of time, you know that the skull is a special marking that would normally only go on auction pieces. However, this Bear Paw was one of the pieces that I took to Blade Show 2025, so here is an opportunity to own a limited handmade piece.

The faces of the this piece have been hand hammered using a large peen. After sandblasting and a deep blackening, it was put through a stone/casewash. The process is similar to a standard stonewash, but with this you will find small micro-divots within the brass. This gives off a beautiful luster, and is sure to age extremely well. Odie's Oil was applied to help preserve the finish.
